This young female artist is self taught but she is showing just how beautiful raw, unapologetic and unique art can be; even without conventional training.

The paintings depicted are my favorites that I’ve done so far, I feel like they have really shown my growth not only as an artist, but as a person. Art has always been a passion of mine, and I like the way that a piece of art can make people feel, inspire them, and really make them think about life, their community, and it even can get them to imagine the impossible. I want my art to be something that speaks to people, captures them, and even creates a world that they want to exist in- Katura Gaines
