Share This List Of Helpline Numbers To Change Someone’s Life- Do Not Accept ‘I am fine’ As An Answer

depression, fine, help, self help“I shouted I need help. I whispered I need help. I thought I need help.” Sometimes we are able to say it out loud; but not often. Sometimes we are able to say to ourselves; but not often. Most of the time the external and internal noises in our lives drown out the sound of our need, desire and yearning for a helping hand or a person simply to listen to our troubles quietly.

Christmas time is a time of giving, family, friends and sharing love. However, for many, it is only a painful reminder of solitude and loneliness. If you can do one thing this Christmas, ask someone “Are you ok?”. But do not accept ‘I am fine’ as an answer. Really show you care, really find out what fine means. Sometimes ‘i am fine’ is simply one straw away from breaking their spirit and one bad day, event or moment from them completely being overwhelmed by their troubles. I challenge you to lift them up with your strength; even if you do not know you have helped them. Sharing this list of numbers should give someone the option to find help for themselves.

Here is a list of numbers people can call to help them through the tough times. The first list is for US. The second list is for the UK. If you are from another country click here
